Fabric - American chiffon or georgette – this is the very much like a polyester mix and was the fabric traditional used for these saris.
Sari This is a beautiful example of traditional white thread and sequin work – most of it is on the palla and the hems.
Comments - This is a stunning eye catching sari that is a really head turner,
I am selling a whole range of these vintage saris – they are all reminiscent of the clothing worn in “Om shanti Om” that is now making a very popular come back. This is an authentic sari made many years ago with traditional handwork and not one of the newer replicas.
Please note as with all vintage clothing there may be the odd mark or stain that is not detailed unless obviously noticeable – the embellishments are hand done and so may nto be uniform however this all adds to the character and charm of the garment – if you are expecting a perfect piece please do not bid.
